The Northern New England Viral Hepatitis Elimination Plan is in process!  HFNNE is working toward a truly community-based, practical plan that all three states will be able to adapt to their specific needs.

The Steering Group met twice a month throughout 2023. Research was conducted throughout the year by JSI, global public health partner and consultant to the NH DHHS, to create the Situational Analysis of viral hepatitis in Northern New England. State Coordinators and Steering Committee members participated in over 100 Listening Sessions, interviews, and Discovery Committees.

The year culminated in a successful Kick-Off Summit to begin the community planning process on October 5, 2023, and then on December 7, the first of seven Planning Group Meetings took place.

Along the way, many resources have been developed and progress has been made on the underlying structure of the plan.  Currently, HFNNE is at the pivotal point of creating objectives and activities for the plan – evidence-based, localized, actionable strategies.

HFNNE welcomes new participants at any time in the process. Please join one of our upcoming open Planning Group meetings or contact us for more information.
